Before you accept live payments

  • Connect a Stripe account in Honey's legal name, with Honey's bank account for payouts.
  • Enable Afterpay in Stripe Dashboard → Settings → Payment methods. Stripe decides whether it appears for each eligible customer.
  • Tap & Go is collected in the separate Stripe Dashboard Android app. Match the successful card-present payment back to the sale in this app; do not use the online payment link for the same sale.
  • Add the webhook endpoint in Stripe, subscribing to Checkout Session completed, asynchronous success/failure and expired events.
  • Turn on customer receipt emails in Stripe Dashboard if desired.
  • Configure GST correctly if Honey is GST-registered. Automatic Stripe Tax is switched off in this first version.
  • Try a full test-mode payment before replacing the test secret key with a live key.
